Privacy Policy

Snub is a small app and this is a short policy. Here is exactly what we keep, why, and how to get rid of it.
What Snub stores
- An account id. Either an anonymous id created on your device the first time you open Snub, or an id linked to Sign in with Apple if you choose to sign in. We never see your Apple password; Apple may give us a relay email address.
- Your punches and taste profile. The scores you punch on stubs, the titles you save, your Ticket Book, and the taste profile built from the onboarding quiz and your punches. These are stored in our database, hosted by Supabase.
- Purchase state. Whether your Season Pass is active. This is handled by RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app-user id and Apple's receipt. Your payment details stay with Apple.
- Movie and series data. Posters, titles, credits, and runtimes come from The Movie Database (TMDB). When the app shows a poster, your device requests it from TMDB's servers, which means TMDB sees an image request from your IP address like any website would.
What Snub never does
- No ads.
- No tracking or analytics SDKs. Nothing in the app follows you across other apps or sites.
- No sale of data, ever. We do not share your punches or profile with anyone except the services above that are needed to run the app.
Rationales
The two-sentence verdict on each stub is written by an AI model from the title's public metadata. Your personal punches are never sent to the model.
Deleting your data
Email hello@snubapp.com from the address you'd like us to reply to, and we will delete your account id, punches, and taste profile. Purchase records with Apple are governed by Apple's own policy.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the effective date above and note it in the app.
